My Professional Experiences

2022-2025 Peer Support and Teen Mental Health Advocacy: Actively contributing to supporting teen meantal health by volunteering in peer support helping teenagers navigate a difficult time and promoting open conversations about wellbeing. I often made myself available to my peers who needed someone by their side offering them a non judgmental space to feel understood and supported. I also participated in campaigns encouraging students that it is more then okay to speak up when you are struggling. This experience strengthened my communication and empathy skills teaching me how to listen carefully and respond thoughtfully in sensitive situations. This experience has also helped me develop a greater awareness to mental health and the challenges people can face everyday without anyone even realising. Being involved in this area has had a lasting impact on my life and experiences as it has shaped my ability to connect with others and lead with a compassionate and supportive mindset in professional environments.

2024-2025 Certificate ||| in Hospitailty and Certificate ||| in Business: Completing both of these certificates during high school played a significant role in shaping my skills, work ethic and career direction. Through hospitality I gained hands on experience with customer service, teamwork and working in fast paced environments. This taught me how to stay organised and how to perform under pressure. In business I developed a strong understanding of communication, administration and problem solving as well as how professional environments operate. These courses gave me practical real world experience that extended beyond the classroom and helped build my confidence in interacting with others. They also strengthened my ability to manage responsibilies, meet deadlines and adapt to different situations. Overall these qualifications have prepared me for future career opportunities and gave me skills I use everyday.

Personal Reflection

During these experiences my goal was to build practical experience while also making a positive impact to others around me. Through my studies and interactions, I took initiative in group settings, communicated effectively with a range of people and remained apportable and supportive when others needed my guidance. Balancing these experiences required adaptability, time management and emotional awareness. As a result I became more confident in handling responsibility, working under pressure and responding thoughtfully in different situations. Reflecting back on this I have learnt that combining techincal knowledge with strong people skills is essential for success. These experiences have shaped my ability to lead, collaborate and build meaningful relationships which will support my future career in business and professional environments.
